Magnetic Chalkboard Cartoon Thought Bubbles

I love finding ways to bring a little personality to my home decor. Even when it is on my fridge.
Magnetic Chalkboard Cartoon Thought Bubbles

Harper LOVES seeing pictures of babies and people that she knows and recognizes. I love seeing her react to pictures, so adding a few pictures to our fridge for her to see was perfect for us. I couldn’t just stop there though, they needed a little something more. I made some magnetic chalkboard conversation bubbles to make things a little more fun and interesting! They are so easy to make too.
Here’s what you need…
Magnetic Thought Bubbles
*Magnets
*Razor blade
*Wood, chipboard, or cardboard conversation bubbles (I got mine from Pick Your Plum) You could easily cut some out of cardboard.
DIY Chalkboard Magnets
First, you want to peel up the backing of the chalkboard vinyl and lay each of the conversation bubbles on it. I made 2 go in one direction and the other 2 face the opposite direction so that I could accommodate any picture. Once they are stuck to the vinyl, push down really hard to be sure that it is all stuck to the wood.

With your razor blade, cut around the conversation bubbles.

Now you will have your cute little chalkboard conversation bubbles. Add your magnets to the back of them by hot gluing the magnets to the back. I put my magnets in the corners next to the little poky part sticking out. This way, it will hold up the picture on the fridge, and will be easier to place the thought bubble.

Now write all over them with either chalk or a chalk marker. They are so fun to write silly things on them. You can write a funny conversation,

A friendly reminder, or even just notes to remind you what different papers that are sticking to your fridge are for! I love the quirky, fun character they bring to our house.
