Can I just tell you how much I LOVE my Spring decor?! I love that my house is full of color again now that the temperatures are warming up! By far, my favorite part of my Spring decor is my geometric wall behind my faux mantel vignette!
It makes such a big statement and can easily be kept up there all summer long if I wanted to leave it up. It is really easy to make too! You don’t even need a vinyl cutter for it! Here’s what you need…
*Vinyl in whatever colors you want (I used the polka dots and the glitter ones)
*Scrapbook paper (I used Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic paper from JoAnn’s)
*scissors
*paper cutter
*tape
Cut your vinyl into squares. Mine are 4 inch squares.
Cut your scrapbook paper in squares the same size as your vinyl squares.
Now cut your squares in half from corner to corner to create triangles. You are ready to stick them to your surface!
Now to apply it, go with the flow of your surface. Start in one corner and work your way over. Not ever inch needs a triangle. Leave some spaces blank and switch the direction of the triangles. Mix up the colors so that they are spread out across your surface. I didn’t put any triangles in the middle of my door because I knew I was hanging a mirror there so I worked around that area. For the vinyl, just peel of the backing and stick it onto your surface. For the paper, use tape and stick it on. This isn’t as easy as peeling and sticking the vinyl so you may just want to stick with vinyl only, but the great thing about this is that you can make yours totally unique to you!
I love how it looks all put together with my Spring decor! This is something that you could easily do as artwork, on a statement wall, or even furniture! Use your imagination!
