With a baby who can’t decide if she wants to sleep or not, getting calm and relaxed before bedtime is really important! I need my sleep to be quality sleep. One way that I can really calm down is taking a bath before bed. It feels nice to just be able to lay down and relax. I love using bath salts to really aid in calming my brain and body down before going to bed. These calming bedtime bath bombs do just that!
To make your own, you need…
2 cups Epsom salt
1 Tablespoon Jojoba Oil
8-10 drops Lavender Oil
5-8 drops Frankincense Oil
4-8 drops food coloring (optional)
Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl. I like to use my hands to mix it all up, just to be sure that all of the oils are dispersed evenly.
Put the bath salts into an airtight jar to store. It keeps the bath salts from drying out and keeps all of the oils fresh.
There are a few reasons that these bath salts work so well. The lavender oil is a natural calming agent that helps soothe achy muscles and calms your mind. The frankincense oil is great for anxiety and calming the mind for sleep. The Epsom salt has magnesium in it, which is incredible for sleep. Magnesium also helps calm muscles down. I swear by magnesium for my restless leg syndrome! These bath salts work like magic for me and have really helped improve my sleep.
These bath salts would make the PERFECT gift, too! They are perfect for the person who is hard to buy for because everyone needs sleep!
How is the quality of your sleep? I can’t wait to hear if you try this recipe!
