One question that I seem to get asked a lot, especially on Instagram, is how I curl my hair. I am excited to finally be sharing a quick tutorial of how I curl my hair! I partnered with Conair to show how to use their Conair 3Q Dryer and Conair 2-in-1 Styler with this tutorial.

The first step in any good hairstyle is a good blow dry. I don’t think that people realize how important blow drying can be for the overall hairstyle. It can totally make or break it! Because my hair is naturally curly and has a lot of natural volume, I use a paddle brush and pull the hair really tight while I blow it dry with my Conair 3Q dryer.
I have actually owned an older model of this blow dryer for several years now and totally fell in love with it – so much that I got rid of my previous blow dryer that was a really nice and and from the professional beauty supply store. This Conair 3Q dryer is amazing! It uses a HeatProtect electronic brushless motor that generates up to 70% more air pressure to dry hair fast at lower temperatures. I was pretty skeptical of this before trying it, but it really is amazing. I love using it on my thick hair because it takes very little time to dry it all! If I am using the blow dryer to actually style my hair, I love having the option to use the cold shot button to really set the style. It also works great for the days that I want to wear my hair curly because it comes with a diffuser attachment. #3QDryer
After blowing my hair completely dry, I take my hair in sections and start curling. As long as I have taken the time to really smooth my hair while blow drying, I am able to instantly go into curling my hair. I love that the InfinitiPRO by Conair® 2-in-1 Styler can both curl and straighten my hair with only one tool. If I have a spot on my hair that didn’t get as smooth as I wanted it to, I can easily straighten it out a little while I am working on curling my hair. The black titanium ceramic-coated plates of the Conair 2-in-1 Styler can heat up to 400°F, which is perfect for my hair texture and gives me really smooth and shiny results. #Conair2in1Styler
I love this tool because I kind of curl and straighten at the same time. First, I go through the top part of the section of hair and smooth it out a little bit. Then I turn the 2-in-1 Styler and pull it down through the rest of my hair. Like magic, it leaves a perfectly loose ringlet. The stainless steel outer barrel heats up to 265°F, so it can curl really easily!
After going through my entire head, I am left with some really beautiful curls.
I actually like to have the ends of my curls a little more straight, so I go through on the very ends of my hair and just straighten them a little bit.
After I am done with all of my styling tools, I spray my hair with some sea salt spray. I flip my hair and mess it up a little bit!
Lastly, I put some serum through the ends of my hair and finish off with some hair spray to keep everything in place!
I love how these curls turn out, but I think the thing I love the most is that these curls will last me a few days. I typically go about 4 days without having to touch my hair at all, beyond just brushing through it. Those 4 days, I am able to keep my hair down too. It is amazing how well the curls hold up!
This is my go-to hairstyle for the beginning of the week and I wear it as long as I can between washes. It helps me feel put together and it doesn’t even take me very long to accomplish that first day. It is a major win in my book!
