Blog conference season has begun! I love being able to go and connect with other bloggers while learning some great blog advice. I have a few conferences that are on my radar for 2013! I got to go to one already that was incredible! I went to the Build Your Blog Conference that was put on by the ladies of Six Sisters’ Stuff and their amazing team! I learned so much!

The day was jam packed full of gems. I loved the opening keynote given by Brooke Walker of Studio 5. It was really inspiring to hear her thoughts about bloggers. We are amazing! We are talented people with the power to influence! I really was touched by her thoughts and am really taking them to heart with each of my blog posts.
Ashley of Flats to Flip Flops, Emily of The Benson Street, and Andie of Maybe I Will |
I loved going to the class given by the girls at U-Create about standing out in the crowd of bloggers. They shared this amazing quote…
“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” -Dr. Suess
I loved their class because it was a great reminder that I just need to be me. I need to be myself. That is what will help me stand out from the crowd. If you are wanting to stand out, don’t be afraid to be yourself!

The ladies of Six Sister’s Stuff have a super awesome dad! He knows a TON about blogging! I went to two of his classes and he blew my mind with his knowledge! The first class was all about making money through blogging. He had some great insights. He said it was important to be ready to start making money with your blog by having a solid foundation. You need to then, sell something. Selling something can be a range of different things such as ebooks or have an online shop. You can also advertise something. Having ads on your sidebars can bring in great money. Lastly, he said to use My Recipe Magic to bring more traffic to your recipe posts. He went into detail for each of those, topics and it was a great class!
I was so happy to meet Desi of The 36th Avenue, she is adorable! |
I also loved the next class he taught for seasoned bloggers. This was when I realized how much I really DON’T know! There are so many great things that I learned in this class! I think the most important thing that I learned was… WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER! I am SO bad at that, but I can honestly say that I have tried to work smarter a lot more since this presentation. I really took it to heart.

The best part about blog conferences is connecting with other bloggers! This was no different with the Build Your Blog Conference. It was fun to connect with other people who think and act just like I do!
If you are thinking of attending the Build Your Blog Conference, I would highly recommend it! They are even doing an early bird special for next year. It is only $74 which is a killer deal for a blog conference! The Build Your Blog Conference was packed full of AWESOME information that has changed the way I blog for the better. It was set up perfectly for networking with other bloggers and successful brands that I was excited to connect with. The Build Your Blog Conference is the real deal!

Thanks for the recap... I'm so sad I missed it. I had my ticket FOREVER and then ended up in Indiana for my grandpa's funeral that day. Bad timing huh. I guess there's always next year!
